EDMONTON - There were long faces at City Hall on Wednesday, as Edmonton residents, already battling mosquitoes and dandelions, dealt with another unpleasant rite of spring -- property taxes.
Notices went out last Friday to the owners of 290,000 homes, shopping malls, factories, apartments and other properties.
